Scientific Trip by Ivke across Central Europe
Ivke participated in Scientific Excursion organized by Physical Faculty, Society of Physicist of Serbia and ETA Turs from 27th May until 1st June 2019.
He visited:
- ELI attosecond in Szeged (HU);
- High voltage laboratory in Brno (CZ), where they work with 120 kA currents and 2 MV voltages;
- Helmholtz‐Zentrum Dresden‐Rossendorf in Dresden (D) seeing Ion Beam Facility and Radiation Source ELBE;
- ELI beams and Institute of Plasma Physics in Prague (CZ), latter one showed him COMPASS tokamak and PALS ion laser.
New NF co-authorship by Miloš
Miloš‘ previous work during the PhD research has payed off. The article on “Runaway electron beam stability and decay in COMPASS” has been published in Nuclear Fusion journal.
Research visit in ENEA by Milica
Yesterday, Milica returned from the research collaboration visit in ENEA (Frascati, Italy), where she performed experiments with Violeta Lazić.
Marijana becomes an Assistant Professor
Since 1st March 2019, Marijana has new role as Assistant Professor (“docent” in Serbian) at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac. But above all, we are happy that she is going to stay the part of our team despite new obligations.
Biljana EWCPS Attendance
As you might remember from our earlier, Biljana was in Pau (France) for attending 18th European Winter Conference on Plasma Spectroscopy (EWCPS) from 3rd to 8th February 2019.
She gave a lecture entitled “Uncovering Beryllium line with forbidden component”:

New publication by Miloš
We are proudly presenting published article as a proceeding of the SPIG conference by Miloš. The article is entitled “Experimental Runaway Electron Current Estimation in COMPASS Tokamak” and published by Atoms journal.
PSL media experts
This autumn semester, the Institute of Physics hosted the first Media Laboratory*, a free school of scientific journalism. Two of our members, Milica and Biljana, have passed this course.

Biljana’s new publication
We are proudly presenting published article by Biljana, her second article this year as the first author. However, the significant contribution of co-authors should not overseen. The article is entitled “Forbidden component of the Be II 436.1 nm line recorded from pulsed gas discharge plasma” and published by Europhysics Letters journal.
Biljana gets EWCPS Grant
We are proudly announcing that Biljana obtained the student grant for 18th European Winter Conference on Plasma Spectroscopy (EWCPS), held in Pau (France) from 3rd to 8th February 2019. She will give a lecture on her PhD-related findings, that have obviously impressed the Scientific Committee.

New co-authorship by Miloš
Miloš‘s previous work during the PhD research has payed off. The article on “Runaway Electron experiments at COMPASS in support of the EUROfusion ITER physics research” has been published in Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion. The article is product of the plenary talk at the EPS Plasma Physics Conference held in Prague.
