Biljana’s new publication

Milos We are proudly presenting published article by Biljana, her second article this year as the first author. However, the significant contribution of co-authors should not overseen. The article is entitled “Forbidden component of the Be II 436.1 nm line recorded from pulsed gas discharge plasma” and published by Europhysics Letters journal.

Biljana gets EWCPS Grant

MilosWe are proudly announcing that Biljana obtained the student grant for 18th European Winter Conference on Plasma Spectroscopy (EWCPS), held in Pau (France) from 3rd to 8th February 2019. She will give a lecture on her PhD-related findings, that have obviously impressed the Scientific Committee.

SPIG 2018

All members of the laboratory participated at the 29th Summer School and International Symposium on the Physics of Ionized Gases (SPIG 2018) held in Belgrade (Serbia). Again, Prof. Кonjević held the introductory talk. Ivke was member of the Scientific Committee for the third consecutive time. Marijana, Milica and Marko each presented the poster titled “Underwater Ablation with Two Different Laser Wavelength”, “Nanoparticles on a Sample Surface as Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy Enhancers” and “Current Distribution in an Experiment of Z-Pinch with Pre-Embedded Axial Magnetic Field”, respectively. While Biljana and Miloš presented the progress reports on “Beryllium spectral line studies in the presence of beryllium dust” and “Studies or Runway Electrons in COMPASS Tokamak”, respectively.

We are also proud for having invited two lecturers. First, Vincenzo Amendola, an associate professor of physical chemistry in the Department of Chemical Sciences of Padova University (Italy) gave a plenary talk on the “Laser assisted synthesis of magneto-plasmonic and UV-vis-NIR plasmonic nanoparticles”. Next, Andrei Pipa, research associate at the Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology (Greifswald, Germany) held the talk on the “Equivalent circuit approach for electrical diagnostics of dielectric barrier discharges”. We would like to use this opportunity to thank them for coming.

Biljana’s very first publication

We are happy to announce that Biljana’s article on “Novel plasma source for safe beryllium spectral line studies in the presence of beryllium dust” has been published in Review of Scientific Instruments. We are even more proud that the article was chosen for the AIP Editor Pick’s collection. Note that the significant contribution of co-authors should not overseen.

Biljana’s visit to IPP Greifswald

Biljana visited W7X stellarator at IPP (Institute of Plasma Physics) in Greisfwald May 2017 as part of “jDPG-Seminar on Plasma Physics – Wendelstein”. Beside that, she also had a tour to the Lubmin nuclear power station where she pushed the red button!

SPIG 2016

All members of the laboratory participated at the 28th Summer School and International Symposium on the Physics of Ionized Gases (SPIG 2016) held in Belgrade (Serbia). Prof. Кonjević held the introductory talk. Milica, Biljana and Milivoje had mutual contribution on “Characterization of an Atmospheric Pressure Pulsed Microjet”, which was presented as poster. While Marijana presented the progress report on “Study of Single Pulse Laser Induced Breakdown on the Target in Water”   that resulted in publication “Impact of the cavitation bubble on a plasma emission following laser ablation in liquid”. Besides, Milivoje had collaboration with plasma group from Novi Sad on “The Influence of Debye Screening on the Shift of the He I 706.52 nm Spectral Line”. Even though Miloš was not part of the Laboratory back then, he also had poster entitled “Influence of Runaway Electrons on Discharge Start-Up in COMPASS”.
