Introduction

Ilija Ž. Belić was born on 10.11.1950. in Belgrade, where he completes his education. He now loves in Belgrade, as a widow and the father of 2 sons (both on the doctoral studies).
He obtained magistrate on 1986. and doctorate on 1990. at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (Belgrade). While now retired, Ilija was full research professor at Institute of Physics (since 1974) and professor at the “Tehnikum Taurunum” High technical school (since 1992). He has 120 peer-review articles (15 are SCI-listed), 52 international citations, 11 books and monographs of national significance, 11 technical solutions and 1 patent. His postulates from laser material processing can be found in the several world-class books and laser handbooks.
