Introduction
In October 1982 love and passion for lasers brought me to PSL lab. Till late nineties I worked on physics, techniques and technology of lasers. In parallel I worked on construction and diagnostics of different plasma sources what ignited my permanent interest and love for spectroscopy. Study of spectral line shapes of H, He, C, N, O, Be and many other elements important for astrophysics or plasma technology (including even fusion plasmas) became mine dominant research area. In spectroscopy and especially in Stark broadening of spectral lines I learn a lot from Academician Nikola Konjević.
I continuously apply my interdisciplinary knowledge in developing methods of optical emission spectroscopy and laser-aided techniques for plasma diagnostics. I devoted my special attention to diagnostics of plasmas produced during pulsed laser deposition used for creation of nanocomposites. Experimental determination of atomic data for Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) and improvement of LIBS techniques are also subject of my current research.
